Subject: Redeem the Vote - Casting Crowns Concert
 
All the proceeds will benefit the Alabama Education Initiative of Redeem the Vote Alabama.

The initiative is 3 fold:
 
1. We are continuing our public service campaign in conjunction with Operation Graduation to reduce high school dropout rate in Alabama, which is 50.7%'

2. We are working with the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and MTV to "Bridge the Ambition Gap". Through infomercials and internet messaging we will reach Alabama teens with information on course of study, financial aid, and other tools to help them be prepared for college. At present, over 70% of students want to go to college but only 30% actually finish college, mostly because they are ill prepared and havent taken the required courses to excel in college, particularly math and science curriculum.

3. We are joining with churches and faith based organizations to promote religious liberty and expression on high school and junior high campuses. The Alabama Education Association is making available a primer on what is legally permissible as far as religious expression on public school campuses.

All this is effort is aimed at improving our work force here in Alabama and bringing the faith community together to support educational improvements in the State of Alabama.
